Fee Schedule

Most services provided at Women’s Business will attract a rebate from Medicare but there will be out-of-pocket expenses for office consultations. Private health insurance does not cover office consultations.

For inpatient hospital services, we aim to provide “No Gap” billing for women with private health insurance, which means there are no out-of-pocket expenses for our services although there may be a cost for other areas such as anaesthetics or paediatrics. There are a few exceptions. We will always endeavour to provide you with an accurate estimate before any procedure.

In general, our basic fees for both obstetrics & gynaecology are:
Initial consultation                                         $180
Subsequent consultations                           $90

Procedures such as colposcopy or IUD insertion  $90 (in addition to consultation fee)

Pregnancy Management Fee                       $1500
This includes 24 hour availability of a specialist obstetrician gynaecologist, planning & management of your pregnancy, insurances, liaising with other specialists & Allied Health, and emergency attendances (up to a maximum of three before further fees apply).

Delivery (regardless of mode of delivery)                No Gap with most private health funds
